On December 15, CDBMB JSC (the company of Rosatom machine building division – Atomenergomash) delivered the fifth equipment set for Kudankulam NPP Unit 4. The set includes GTsNA-1391, the removable part, auxiliary systems and the electric motor.

By the end of 2022, CDBMB JSC will have delivered the sixth, seventh and eighth sets of the Reactor Coolant Pump Units and two standby feedwater pumps for Kudankulam NPP Unit 4. The standby pumps were developed, manufactured and already passed the final acceptance tests at CDBMB JSC.

The removable part is the pumping part of RCPU intended to provide circulation of the primary circuit coolant of the reactor plant. The electric motor is required for the pumping part rotation and the auxiliary systems provide normal operation of RCPU. The auxiliary equipment includes oil cooler, additional cooler of seal unit and electric pump BEN.
