Loading of equipment on board of “MV Janis” vessel for implementation of the second stage of Kudankulam NPP completed on October 30, 2020. It left the port on November 13, 2020.

Polar crane components: crane rail, anchor rod, loading device were loaded on board the ship for Unit-3 and heat insulation, hydro accumulator and set of supporting elements for core passive flooding system, shells and air locks of passive heat removal system, current ducts were loaded for Unit-4. Apart from that, transport air lock equipment, pumps, hermetic penetrations, valves, pipelines, fuel pool water seal were supplied for the second stage of Kudankulam NPP. Total volume of the shipped equipment made 7100 m3.

Definitely, this batch is a symbolic one, since it is the 20-th batch dispatched in 2020.

It will take more than three-week time for the KKNPP equipment to reach Indian port.
