Rusatom Service and Power Machines signed February 1, 2016 a contract for supply of four sets of turbine blades for Unit 2 of Tianwan NPP (China).
Under the contract terms, Power Machines will manufacture and supply to Tianwan NPP four sets of the fifth stage working blades. The work is due in 2020, with the contract does not exclude early supply of the equipment.
Replacement of the fifth stage turbine blades, which are most susceptible to wear during the turbine operation, is a compulsory procedure aimed at restoring design characteristics of the power equipment.
At present, Power Machines also fulfills two other Rusatom Service’s orders for Tianwan NPP. The commitments include manufacture of spare parts for turbine generators of Units 1 and 2 and three sets of the fourth and fifth stage turbine blades for Unit 1. The projects are planned to complete in August and September 2016, correspondingly.
