According to the specialists, construction of the NPP will be essential for the region. Construction of the Hanhikivi-1 NPP will provide tens of thousands of new jobs directly involved in building of the facility and in related industries.

Nuclear Engineering Specialist at Fennovoima Oy, Minttu Hietamaki said: "I believe Hanhikivi 1 stand was one of the main attractions at the Norhern Industry fair. The visitors were highly interested in the current status of works at Hanhikivi. It was good for us all to be there as a number of companies had the possibility to discuss the current and upcoming business opportunities with Fennovoima, Rosatom and Titan-2. Direct contact with the main suppliers is valuable for the potential sub-suppliers of the project. The Hanhikivi 1 brand was officially launched at the Northern Industry fair. With the brand we hope to deliver an important message to the people: we have a common goal and we can only succeed working together. Even if it is just a stand at the fair.

During the exhibition, business-to-business meetings between the participants of the Hanhikivi-1 NPP construction project and Finnish suppliers of products and services in nuclear industry took place. Finnish companies are invited to participate in construction and installation works, supply of various types of equipment, rendering engineering, consulting and maintenance services. Localization for Finnish and EU companies during the construction period will be about EUR 1.8-2.7 billion. Currently, almost 100 companies and about 200 people (on average) work on the construction site every day.

Outi Pelkonen, press secretary of RAOS Project Oy, said: "At the exhibition, RAOS Project, CONCERN TITAN-2, Rosatom and Fennovoima were presented on a joint stand. All companies form part of the team which implements the NPP construction project in Pyhajoki. The joint stand presented the project in general, while a new brand video shown on the stand demonstrated the scale of the project. The exhibition was rather eventful, and we established many new contacts with local companies. I hope that in the future, such events will be as successful as this exhibition.

Sergey Zaves, Deputy Executive Director for External Communications & PR of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, the main subcontractor constructing the Hanhikivi-1 NPP, said: "Traditionally, TITAN-2 participates in events organized in Northern Ostrobothnia where our company implements the Hanhikivi-1 NPP construction project. Participating in such exhibitions, we support the development of the local business community and establish contacts with local suppliers. Such events provide great opportunities for potential business partners and allow close cooperaton with them, as well as clearly demonstrate the industrial potential of Northern Ostrobothnia and actively develop the economy of the region and of the entire country.
