On the 22nd of August JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” (a company included in Atomenergomash, a machine-building division of Rosatom) and Government of India Enterprise Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC Ltd) started the advanced training course “Heat Treatment” for Indian engineers.
The training is held in Ranchi (India) at the premises of the Common Engineering Facility Centre (CEFC) and will continue till August 31st. This is the second training course out of nine developed by CNIITMASH and planned to be launched in 2018 within the framework of Stage 3 of Agreement НЕС01 for setting up of CEFC in India.
For the following one and a half weeks over twenty experts of Indian machine-building enterprises are going to study the nuances of heat treatment applied in the process of manufacture of heavy and power engineering items in accordance with the program developed by the scientists of CNIITMASH. The training course will be conducted by Alan Balikoev, Senior Scientist Researcher of the Large-Size Ingot Laboratory, Department of Steel Metallurgy, Institute of Metallurgy and Machine-Building of CNIITMASH. According to the decision of Ranchi University, the CEFC Certificate, which is to be awarded to the course graduates, will be recognized as an Advanced Training Certificate in India.
Vladislav Lurye, Head of the Contract Follow-up Department of CNIITMASH Foreign Trade Divi-sion informed that the training course would take only one and a half weeks because it seemed impos-sible to keep the heat treaters away from their work places. “Indian specialists attending the course are current employees of Indian heavy engineering companies or University associates. Jointly with HEC Ltd we pay special attention to organization of the courses in such a manner as to avoid distracting the students from their work longer than necessary,” Mr. Lurye said. He added that the Indian colleagues were going to have quite a busy schedule, they would get lectures, answers to the questions, quizzes, self-tuition and conducted tours arranged by the Indian party.
Like all other courses in the training cycle, the heat treatment course is intended to be repeated. By the end of 2018, the scientists of CNIITMASH will improve the skills of Indian experts in the field of steel making and metallurgy, electro-slag re-melting, destructive and non-destructive testing, design and technology of gear manufacturing. The duration of the courses is from one-and-a-half weeks up to four months. The next course is scheduled for the end of September.
