On July 1 Atomflot FSUE summed up the preliminary results of the winter and spring navigation season. Nuclear icebreakers of Rosatomflot had provided 424 vessel calls within the period from December 2021 till June 2022. 247 vessel calls were performed according to the contracts with Yamal LNG JSC, Arctic LNG 2 LLC and IRPC JSC, and 79 vessel calls were made towards Mys Kamenny to the Arctic Gates oil loading terminal (according to the contract with Gazprom Neft PJSC). 84 vessel calls were performed according to the contract with Norilsk Nickel PJSC.

The total gross registered tonnage was 44.1 mln. tons (for comparison – 40.13 mln. tons within the period from December till June 2020–2021).

"Considerable increase in the haulage volume is associated with active operation of tankers for transportation of liquefied natural gas from the Ob–Yenisei region, – Oleg Malik, Acting Head of the Maritime Operation Headquarters of Atomflot FSUE, noted. – The crews of nuclear icebreakers provided fast-pace vessel escort enabling to perform the contractual obligations to our partners in full".
