31 May 2016, Moscow – Today, at ATOMEXPO 2016 International Forum, Private institution of Atomic Energy Power Corporation “Rusatom International Network” and IDOM Ingeniería y Consultoría S.A.U, Spain, signed a Memorandum of understanding. The document was signed by Mr. Alexander Merten, President of Private institution RAIN, from the Russian side, and Mr. Xabier Ruiz Morín, Nuclear Services Director at IDOM, from the Spanish side. 

The purpose of the Memorandum is the organization of the bilateral cooperation in service support and modernization of nuclear power plants with reactors of both Russian and non-Russian design. The companies are interested in cooperation in supplies of ROSATOM's equipment for nuclear and thermal power plants, and also in design & engineering for the projects of NPP construction, operation and modernization all over the world.

Besides, the Parties agreed to cooperate in service support and nuclear research reactor constructions, as well as in back-end and decommissioning. 

The document will support the enhancement of the business relations between ROSATOM's companies and one of the leading engineering and construction companies in Western Europe.
