Tuesday May 31, Moscow - ROSATOM and ENGIE signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 31st of May in Moscow in a framework of 8-th International ATOMEXPO-2016 forum.

The document was signed by Mr. K. Komarov, First Deputy CEO for Corporate Development and International Business of ROSATOM and Mr. Didier Holleaux, Executive Vice President of ENGIE.

The contracted Parties agreed to reinforce the bilateral cooperation in the field of services and modernization of nuclear power plants (NPP) with reactors of both Russian and non-Russian designs, in France, in Russia and in other parts of the world.

The Memorandum also aims at strengthening cooperation in the area of NPP new build outside Russia, as well as joint activities in development of necessary national nuclear infrastructure in newcomer countries where ROSATOM and/or ENGIE implement their NPP construction projects.

ROSATOM and ENGIE also intend to explore news areas and business opportunities in the area of supply of equipment for nuclear and thermal power plants, energy trading, supply of nuclear fuel cycle goods and services, back end of the nuclear fuel cycle and decommissioning, services and works associated with the construction of research nuclear installations, in particular ITER.
